Overview

Keypath Education is supporting Carson-Newman University's search for qualified online faculty for their Graduate Nursing Programs.

 

We are inviting applicants for a for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of NursingCandidates must be PhD- or DNP-prepared Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with experience in classroom and practicum settings. 

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Carson-Newman mission and program curricula 
  • Teach didactic and clinical courses in MSN Nurse Practitioner programs  
  • Support student learning and development through coaching and mentoring  
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of the C-N Nursing programs including planning and evaluating specific course offerings 
  • Collaborate with graduate nursing faculty to ensure course- and program-level quality  
  • Provide timely and specific student feedback according to department guidelines  
  • Serve in active clinical practice 
  • Maintain current knowledge related to policies, process, and procedures in field of specialty 
  • Attend virtual and on-campus meetings as requested 

Qualifications

  • Unencumbered professional nursing license (Licensure in TN required) 
  • An earned PhD or DNP from a regionally accredited college or university  
  • Board certified PNP or FNP  
  • At least 2 years clinical experience as a registered nurse practitioner in the area of Pediatric Nursing  
  • At least 2 years prior teaching experience in a graduate-level program, preferably online  
  • Dedication to nursing, education, and high-quality student learning experiences 
  • Additional teaching proficiency in statistics preferred 
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), Canvas preferred  

Out-of-state candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidates must live within commuting distance of the Carson-Newman campus in Jefferson City, Tennessee.
