Senior Corporate Communications Manager

 

The Senior Corporate Communications Manager is a key member of the global Corporate Communications team responsible for delivering internal and external communications for Keypath Education. This position can be located in either Toronto of Chicago locations. 

 

Reporting to the Global Head of Communications and working alongside a Communications Coordinator (both based in Melbourne, Australia), the Senior Corporate Communications Manager helps to deliver the Global Corporate Communications Strategy, with a focus on US and Canada (North American) and UK markets.

 

The Senior Corporate Communications Manager designs and delivers content to increase the brand awareness and positioning of Keypath Education as the OPM of choice in the Higher Education sector. This includes the development of thought leadership content for distribution on the Keypath website, social media channels and industry media.

 

They are also the key contact to support North American and UK based teams such as Business Development, Learning Design, Placement, and Product Development and Launch, in the successful communication of their services & processes to new University partner stakeholders. This includes coordinating the communications design, editing, and proofing of tender proposals and prospective partner engagement and onboarding presentations.

 

The Senior Corporate Communications Manager also partners with the HR team and develops and distributes content on the Keypath website and social media channels which showcases the Keypath brand, values and culture to help attract top talent. They also develop and distribute internal communications to deliver critical information, as well as help to strengthen the culture and values of Keypath Education and thereby increase employee retention. This includes entries to ‘best-places-to-work’ awards, PR on award recognition, diversity and inclusion initiatives, developing and sharing content of employee profiles and their successes, etc. 

 

The Senior Corporate Communications Manager has a high-level of autonomy to deliver on the Global Corporate Communications Strategy in the North American and UK markets. They have a high level of accountability for quality assurance of all published content, ensuring all content is proofed and fact-checked before it is published. They are also responsible for delivering quarterly performance reports to the Global Head of Communications and supporting with the administration of the Corporate Communications budget.

 

They proactively seek out industry news and reports to support our content development efforts, sharing with the broader team and advising on how the content could be repurposed and distributed across channels. They also keep up to date on corporate communications and content best practice and apply that inspiration and learning to the content produced.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Support the Global Head of Communications in the delivery of the Global Corporate Communications Strategy by:
    • Developing and distributing content for external and internal communications including long-form thought leadership blogs, employee testimonial-style video content, social media posts, partnership announcement press releases, internal all-staff emails and updates, etc.
    • Managing the Keypath Education website
    • Managing the Keypath Education Facebook and LinkedIn channels
    • Managing PR
    • Developing quarterly performance reports
    • Administering the Corporate Communications budget
    • Coordinating the communications design, editing and proofing of business development and corporate communications content assets
    • Other content and communications tasks as required

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, PR or Communications

 

Experience

  • 5 + years in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, PR or Communications
  • Experienced and confident working with various creative and media agencies
  • Experienced in liaising with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience in a global organization working across markets (desirable, not essential)
  • Advanced knowledge of using a CMS (Drupal desirable, not essential)
  • Several years’ experience in managing social media accounts
  • Experience in copywriting, with a strong understanding of SEO
  • Experience in proofreading and editing
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing and content performance metrics
  • Knowledge of the higher education sector (desirable, not essential)
