    The opportunity

     

    The Educational Technologist works closely with a global team of learning designers and developers to create seamless and engaging learning experiences for students on behalf of our University partners. 

    In this role you will work collaboratively to wireframe and develop interactive web pages, support the selection, development and implementation of learning technologies within partner Learning Management Systems and contribute to the Quality Assurance of Keypath courseware. 

    Working with the global Learning Design team, you will be solutions-focused and present contemporary and innovative design solutions to University partners to support the development of new courseware.

    Responsibilities

    What you'll be doing

    • Work in a creative team environment to develop responsive HTML/CSS/JavaScript (JQuery) code to form page templates, prototypes and production code, that is performant and accessible across all common browsers.
    • Advise on user interface best practices to meet performance and client requirements.
    • Develop animations and interactive elements to enhance student learning outcomes within the online environment.
    • Work with relevant stakeholders at our partner Universities to support a seamless user experience across a variety of Learning Management Systems.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders to support User Acceptance Testing and to resolve technical issues in Keypath courses.
    • Support the administration and management of Keypath course assets and in-house Content Management System, PERCI.
    • This role will interface on our behalf with our university partners.

    Qualifications

    What we're looking for:

    • At least two years' experience with front-end web development, managing maintainable, scalable, cross-browser code that is a delight to experience on any device.
    • Strong working knowledge of a variety of Learning Management Systems (Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas and Brightspace) preferred. Experience with Content Management Systems is an acceptable substitution.

    You'll have the following skills:

    • Strong HTML skills and an ability to create elegant, semantically clean markup
    • Strong capability with CSS and an understanding of its cross-browser quirks
    • Proficient in client-side technologies including (X)HTML5, AJAX, CSS3 and JavaScript (jQuery)
    • Working knowledge of web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.0)
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with expertise in Photoshop and Illustrator (desirable)
    • An enthusiastic, collaborative approach and keen eye for detail
