    Student Success advisor, academic advisor, couselor, coaching, student life

    Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Student Success Advisor (SSA) to join our team to enable the delivery of exceptional student support, and drive students to achieve their study goals. This role will see you responsible for a portfolio of enrolled students, with whom you will build long term relationships with and provide ongoing critical advice, direction, and support to, throughout their learning journey.

     

    You will be committed to ensuring an excellent student experience, and to driving students towards study success. Working with your portfolio, predominately through phone and online based contact, from initial course commencement through to graduation, you will:

     

    • Monitor student engagement, attendance, enrolment, and academic achievement to identify and proactively manage any risk factors for failure or non-completion
    • Drive re-enrolment and study path management with the aim of supporting students to graduation by the most efficient study path
    • Build a detailed knowledge of our University partners and the course offerings, through supported training and research
    • Provide a collaborative, solutions focused approach with your students, to empower them to overcome any obstacles or objections that may impact their ability to study
    • Build meaningful relationships through quality conversations, and establish yourself as their ‘go to’ for all their study support needs
    • Support the business to define and implement continuous improvement and best practice.

    Qualifications

    • Your commitment to providing spectacular support to your portfolio, and to driving them to achieve their study goals
    • Proven experience in building rapport quickly and effectively over the phone; you’ll be an excellent communicator, with developed skills in influencing, negotiating, empowering and motivating people
    • A drive to meet and exceed KPIs aligned to enrolment targets, delivery quality and contact goals.
    • The energy to perform in a dynamic, growing, fast past environment
    • A relevant Bachelor’s degree and/or experience proving support to students
    • A passion for education and supporting students.
